Now SilkPeel has developed the EnDouceur™ DermoLissage™, which offers the same technology to the spa and beauty professional.
SilkPeel does not use crystals or other abrasive particles that can irritate the skin. SilkPeel is a unique procedure that provides both a very effective, non-invasive exfoliation and delivery of skin-specific topical solutions under pressure. The procedure is safe and painless, and clients achieve optimum results on an accelerated basis without the complications and discomfort often associated with traditional crystal microdermabrasion, chemical peels, lasers and other treatments that can irritate the skin.
Particulate or crystal microdermabrasion has been widely used as an effective exfoliation treatment, but health risks, including pulmonary inhalation and eye irritation have been areas of concern. The skin is abraded with a stream of particles, such as aluminium oxide, that are delivered under pressure across the face to remove the upper dermal layer. This releases and requires disposal of skin and aluminium oxide or other particles.
The patented SilkPeel hand-piece consists of an interchangeable treatment head containing medical-grade diamonds in one of several grit sizes embedded in a translucent plastic tip. When the hand-piece is brought into contact with the skin, a vacuum pulls it into contact with the treatment head and the diamond tip abrades the skin evenly. As the hand-piece is drawn over the skin, the treatment head simultaneously exfoliates and has a continuous, regulated flow of specific solutions to treat the skin.
There are 7 different
diamond tips to suit all treatment areas of the face. A new larger
diamond head is in development for future body treatments. The SilkPeel
DermalInfusion facial serums currently offer skin hydrating,
clarifying, brightening and the more recently added vitamin C infusions. Therapists can now offer clients a dual treatment in the same time period, which would normally have required two separate treatments. This saves both time and cost, while providing highly effective results. Clients comment very favourably on the lack of discomfort and the rejuvenated feel after treatment. They will see visible results after the first treatment and will achieve optimal results after 5 to 6 treatments spaced 7 to 10 days apart, supplemented by a daily post-care routine.

Clinical studies with
traditional done weekly demonstrate histologic and microscopic
improvement in skin, photoaging and intrinsic aging. They show that skin
texture, pigmentation, skin atrophy, oiliness, dilated pores, and
telangectasias can be improved with weekly microdermabrasion.
