More Than Skin was established as part of our programme of bringing beauty and spa therapy closer to the general public and making our industry more visible. More Than Skin gives us the opportunity to help set standards and provide a strong career path and development opportunities for beauty and spa therapists. We are able to develop and test best business and marketing practices and share these with Self Care's major skin care customers all over New Zealand.

Our flag ship salon is the More Than Skin Day Spa in Auckland's Albany Centre.

Above the bustle of city life, this spacious oasis of peace and tranquility provides every beauty therapy and day spa treatment from eye lash tints to waxing, from facials to hydrotherapy, from body wraps to manicures, and more.

Our staff are all internationally qualified beauty therapists who can assist clients to make the most appropriate selection.

Each of the five treatment rooms is designed to provide the ideal  environment for client comfort and therapist convenience in providing the best possible treatments.

The warm, relaxing decor is enhanced by a selection of beautiful art prints, adding that little extra in luxurious ambience.

All of our other salons echoes the same pleasant decor and quality of presentation. All are equipped with a full compliment of top quality equipment and furniture.

In Howick, our East Auckland salon has recently been enlarged and converted into a day spa, with a full wet room, Vichy shower and toilet facilities.

Our goal in establishing the More Than Skin group of salons has been to make beauty therapy more visible and to help establish quality standards which will encourage clients to enjoy the benefits of beauty therapy on a more regular basis.

At Westfield Shopping Centre, Manukau City we have a very attractive salon with three large treatment rooms offering a full selection of beauty therapy services. Situated conveniently up on the Gallery Level in the heart of the centre, the salon is a peaceful oasis in a busy shopping environment.

Our first salon opened over a decade ago in the heart of Auckland City, 246 on Queen. In September we moved to very attractive and larger premises in Ponsonby.

As the new salon is full of natural light, it certainly offers a warm and friendly environment in which to enjoy our full range of facial and body treatments.

One of the most exciting features of our new salon is a ‘couples room’, which clients have been requesting. This room allows two people to enjoy relaxing and rejuvenating treatments together at the same time.

The extensive range of treatments draws on the international expertise of our renowned skin care brands, Europe’s leading range of Decléor aroma-skincare from Paris and New Zealand’s own Joyce Blok Natural Skin Care.
